BEGINNERS CLASSES
These classes are suitable for those new to Yoga. The first part of the class consists of Asanas (postures) which is followed by Pranayama (conscious breathing practices) & Deep Relaxation (shavasana)
No experience necessary. There is a focus on the asana’s (poses) and moving mindfully with the body in both static and flow poses. A feature of our studio is the rope wall and a selection of props to use as aids if required in responding to the body’s relative tightness and openness. Pranayama (conscious manipulation of the breath), deep relaxation techniques and meditation will also be explored. Yoga can relieve stress, aid in muscular skeletal strength, boost energy levels and benefit circulation and flexibility. You will love it and are sure to feel the difference.
GENTLE YOGA CLASSES
These classes are suitable for those new to Yoga. The first part of the class consists of Asanas (postures) which is followed by Pranayama (conscious breathing practices) & Deep Relaxation (shavasana)
No experience necessary. This is a restorative but uplifting class especially beneficial for stress relief, injury recovery, aging issues, back and joint pain and improving flexibility. Use of bolsters, straps, blocks and the rope wall are a regular feature as an aid in accessing the postures. Modifications in the postures are offered, designed to open and stretch the body. Pranayama and deep relaxation will lead you to a calm state and aid in reaping the rewards of yoga. Fantastic benefits for mind and body. Fresh brewed chai tea is on offer after the class!
INTERMEDIATE
These classes are suitable for those who have previously practiced Yoga. The first part of the class consists of Asanas (postures)which is followed by Pranayama (conscious breathing practices), Deep Relaxation and sometimes meditation.
Some experience preferable. This is longer class with more time to spend working in each pose encouraging presence, alignment and connection with the mind, body and breath. Also enjoy flow elements, inversions, use of the rope wall, pranayama, shavasana (deep relaxation) and meditation. Feel the strength and rejuvenation in your body and calmness in your mind.
HARMONIC YOGA
Suitable for all levels this is unique restorative and reflective experience that combines harmonious live vibrational sound with yoga. This class aims to nurture both your mind and body. Catherine will guide you in trataka (a meditation technique) and supine yoga poses that are lower in intensity and pace and held for longer durations with props to aid a deeper release. During the postures Relle uses the vibrational qualities of drums, singing bowls and vocal sounds to soothe and heal, aligning mind and body. She then uses soothing sound frequencies using a wide range of instruments to take you deeper into a relaxed state to achieve an altered state of consciousness similar to that of deep meditation. Experience balance, harmony, a space of love, connection and peace.

USEFUL TIPS
- The studio will be open 15 minutes before class commences.
- Suitable clothing includes shorts or leggings; avoid baggy clothes.
- Bring your own mat.
- All props are provided.
- Avoid large meals within 3-4 hours prior to class.
- Please inform the teacher if you have an injury, medical condition or special needs.
